Pick
We pick a spotlight of the week and a date for which deliveries will take place. The spotlight is the restaurant we will choose to support on the given date.
YOU
Order
Between 11:30am and 4pm ON THE GIVEN DATE, you call in your order to the restaurant. Use this mini script before placing the order to let them know you are ordering through Food for Thought. Once you call in your order, fill out this form which comes to us so we can deliver.
WE
Deliver
We deliver orders to your door. at 4pm, orders eligible for delivery will close. The restaurant will then treat all orders for Food for Thought delivery as a single mass-order. Once the order is ready for pick-up around 5pm, we will get the food and deliver to your doorstep. This is a contactless delivery.

Why we chose this system:
As we were deciding how to most efficiently execute this idea, there were a few concerns which arose immediately:

We don't have many drivers.

Some locations can be more than 30 minutes away from the restaurant, and unscheduled random deliveries could build up driving distance and time with such limited resources.
In order to mitigate these issues, we chose a system which would only require one trip to the designated restaurant by the driver, allowing us to deliver orders all in one-go.
